After 42 years, the long-awaited restoration of the Roslyn Grist Mill has begun. In coordination with this historic event, we invite you to become a member of the Roslyn Landmark Society and Be A Part of History in 2019.The grist mill restoration will serve as the current focus of our organization, and preserve an important piece of Long Island‘s heritage while encouraging historic education programs and tourism to the Village of Roslyn. The initial phase of work requires stabilizing the structure by restoring historic 18th century timbers and raising the entire building to street level. This complex feat will save the mill from further damage and preserve it for future generations to enjoy.
We encourage you to support the Roslyn Landmark Society and celebrate our 58th year as one of the oldest and most accomplished nonprofit preservation organizations in the United States. Your membership and financial support will allow the Roslyn Landmark Society to continue its mission to educate, restore and preserve historic sites in Roslyn and the surrounding community.
