Workers were onsite at the Mackay Estate Gate Lodge on April 23, 2024 to begin the historic structure's limestone repair and installation. Over the past few months, North Shore Monuments has prepared ten custom-cut tooled limestone blocks for placement.
The limestone was first carefully examined to ensure an exact match to the existing limestone and the damaged blocks were then repaired in preparation for the installation of the building's new windows and doors. The windows and doors are anticipated to be installed by June 2025.
