The Roslyn Landmark Society held its Annual Meeting this year on November 6 at the iconic Roslyn music venue, My Father's Place. During our membership meeting, we celebrated our organization's many accomplishments and held elections that renewed the terms of ten Trustees and one Officer. Two new Officers also joined the Executive leadership team of our Board of Trustees.
An inaugural Roslyn Landmark Society Annual Meeting Honoree award was presented to Howard Kroplick, co-president of the Roslyn Landmark Society and former historian of the Town of North Hempstead, for his dedication to historic preservation in Roslyn. Former Roslyn Landmark Society Board of Trustees president, Craig Westergard, praised Kroplick as a "tour de force" in upholding the legacy of Roger and Peggy Gerry.
A guest appearance was also made by Michael “Eppy” Epstein, founder of the legendary Long Island music venue My Father's Place. Special thanks to Eppy for sharing stories about the venue’s place in Roslyn history during his on-stage conversation with Trustee Rosanna Wolff.
