Roslyn Landmark Society repairing and restoring the Mackay Estate Gate Lodge roof using drone technology

Following installation of the Mackay Estate Gate Lodge's custom-fabricated replica windows and doors in fall 2024, the next step in the restoration process will be to repair the historic structure's roof. On July 3, 2024, historic architect John Collins visited the Gate Lodge site in East Hills to get a closer look at the building's slate tile roofing using drone technology.
