Thank you to all members and friends who joined us for Roslyn Landmark Society's spring walking tours on Saturday, June 1, 2024!
We would also like to extend our gratitude to Roslyn Landmark Society trustee, Craig Westergard, for leading attendees on two fantastic excursions throughout the day that included the Cedarmere mill building and garden, William Cullen Bryant Viaduct, Roslyn Grist Mill, Rallye Motors building, AT&T Tower, Skillman St. Historic District, and Harbourview Shoppes.
For over thirty years, Westergard has led historic tours through the village of Roslyn and once again did not disappoint. He succeeded in delivering an insightful, thought-provoking guided expedition to some of Roslyn’s most impressive and under-explored historic sites.
Many thanks also to Roslyn Landmark Society volunteer and creator of the Gerry StoryMap, Florence Westergard, for photographing and recording each tour.
Additionally, we would like to extend our gratitude to Thomas Powell, President of the Friends of Cedarmere, for providing a private viewing of Cedarmere's mill that included the restored water wheel in operation.
If you were unable to join us for our spring tours, be sure to monitor the Roslyn Landmark Society website and sign up for our newsletter to receive information in your inbox about how to take part in future walking tours, as well as other exciting Roslyn Landmark Society events!
