The Roslyn Landmark Society and the Greater Roslyn Chamber of Commerce welcomed 225 guests to Haute Durvo on September 24 for the first annual The Taste of Roslyn, presented by Rallye Motor Company. The evening paired a curated lineup of local restaurants with a silent auction, and the result was exactly what a first-year event hoped to be: a room full of neighbors, a night that felt distinctly like Roslyn, and a strong foundation to build on next year.
Fourteen restaurants anchored the evening: Hendrick's, Okaru, Griffin, Alto Enoteca, 388, Sweet Harbor Coffee, Delicacies, Felice, Gold Coast Whisky Club, Uncle Giuseppe's, The Sinclair, Ilios Frozen Greek Yogurt, Mythos, and Atlas New World Bistro. Skurnik Wines, Halcyon Liquors, and Roslyn Wine and Liquor rounded out the evening's offerings, giving guests as much to drink about as there was to eat. None of it would have come together without Rallye Motor Company, whose support as presenting sponsor shaped the evening from the ground up. The Waterfront at Roslyn joined Daphne and Dimitri Hanjis and Gwen Levy as additional sponsors, and Schneps Media helped spread the word across the North Shore.
Jordan Fensterman, Co-President of the Roslyn Landmark Society, and Gwen Levy, President of the Greater Roslyn Chamber of Commerce, addressed the crowd over the course of the evening, a fitting moment for two organizations that had spent months building this event together to welcome everyone into it. The Landmark Society and the Chamber have worked side by side for years on the work of preserving Roslyn's history and supporting the businesses that give the village its character, and the Taste of Roslyn gave both organizations a shared stage to bring that work to the people who make it possible.

We're looking forward to welcoming the community back again next time!
