The Town of North Hempstead installed scaffolding today to begin the long-awaited repair and restoration of the Roslyn Paper Mill replica building (1915).
Improvements to the Gerry Park structures are detailed in the Town of North Hempstead's' 2023 Adopted Capital Plan (Page 9).

The Town Board of North Hempstead unanimously approved the Town's 2022-2026 five-year capital plan which includes improvements to the Roslyn Paper Mill and the Hicks Memorial Bridge located in Gerry Park (page 13.) Improvements to the Roslyn Paper Mill include rehabilitation of the roof and the water wheel. Image circa 1975.
Improvements to the Hicks Memorial Centre will include the replacement of the Henry Bergh plaque, structural improvements and a total restoration of the bridge.
