The Town of North Hempstead Winter 2025/26 Newsletter was recently distributed and prominently features the restoration of the bridge and plaque at the Hicks Memorial in Gerry Park! This restoration rebuilt damaged walls, replicated stone masonry, removed stains, patched cement, and installed new railing and sidewalks. Additionally, it replaced the historically accurate 28-inch bronze plaque that was stolen from the property years ago. The Roslyn Landmark Society was represented at the event by Howard Kroplick, and is featured in the image alongside Supervisor DeSena's celebration of the completed construction!
