From Roslyn Restored: An architecturally element of the downtown, this building was demolished to expand parking for owner Roslyn Savings Bank next door. Architect Guy Lad Frost designed a new building that incorporated the Queen Anne facade, achieving an infill building that showcased the old storefront and heightened its visual impact on the upper end of the streetscape. The reconstructed building was relocated to a site ten feet away in 1984.

The original use of the building in the 1800s was the Baxter-Smith Blacksmith Store.
