This 2 1/2 story "double house" was built for J &B Hicks in 1850. It was originally clapboard with a slate roof.

In the 1923, the building was purchased by Emil Rimas, the owner of theaters. A few years later, one-half of the building was demolished in order to use the property for the construction of the Roslyn Theater in 1932.

The ground level of the remaining half of the building was converted to a store. In 1966 the building was occupied by a dress shop Shaw's of Roslyn. It is now occupied by Village Nails.
