Napoleon Forget owned the largest of the blacksmith shops located on Main Street. The second floor of the building was a paint shop that provided "carriage and wagon painting, lettering, monograms and trimming."

The building was located on the east side of Main Street between 153 Main Street and 179 Main Street. It was demolished sometime after 1927.

The property is currently owned by the Town of North Hempstead which it uses as parking for Gerry Pond Park.
