This building was constructed in 1823 for Daniel Bogart. in 1880, it was used as a silk mill by Stephen Taber. Later the Hicks family used it to make doors before it burnt down on March 6, 1895.
Tis circa 1880 photo was taken by George Bradford Brainerd (1845-1887). Many of his photographs are available at the Brooklyn Museum.
