1957 Sales Brochure for Country Estates "in the fabulous estate area of the North Shore"

Jordan Fensterman, vice president of the Roslyn Landmark Society, has discovered an original 1957 sales brochure for Country Estates. Some highlights:

The development was promoted as the "Roslyn Hills" Country Estates "for discerning families .. with an eye for tomorrow."
The introductory prices ranged from $35,990 to $37,990. Adjusting for inflation, these prices range from $394,210 to $416,118. Zillow currently lists a 1958 Country Estates residence up for sale for $1,465,000.
Financing was available enabling a property to be purchased for "$9,500 cash."
In 1957, Miracle Mile included B. Altman, Best & Co., Arnold Constable, Lord & Taylor, Peck & Peck and W,J. Sloane
