Gary Lawrance, an architect from Stony Brook, painstakingly creates design presentations, architectural models, and 3D renderings of structures for his clients - and has taken his time to create one such 3D computer model rendering of the Mackay Estate Harbor Hill. There are many photos of Harbor Hill, but none are in color, and Lawrence's rendering brings the observer on a life-like flyover, showing off the scale of the mansion to the viewer. He examined old photos, roof sections, dormer details and elaborate carvings, and created a way for us to enjoy Harbor Hill despite its demolition in the late 1940's.
