Last night, the Village of Roslyn welcomed the holiday season with its annual Holiday Tree and Menorah Lighting. Families, residents, and local leaders gathered in the heart of the village to mark this meaningful tradition that celebrates community, connection, and the spirit of the season.
The Roslyn Landmark Society was pleased to be present, represented by Co-President Howard Kroplick, alongside Okaru restaurateur Noam Shemel. Their attendance reflected the shared commitment to Roslyn’s cultural heritage, local partnerships, and a future in which history, stewardship, and community life are deeply linked.
As the tree glowed and the menorah candles were lit, the gathering served as a reminder of what makes Roslyn unique. Neighbors greeted one another, children watched wide-eyed, and community members stood together in a moment of appreciation for the place they call home. These simple celebrations bring forward the values that help Roslyn thrive: preservation, togetherness, and pride in its story.
To all who participated and supported this cherished event, thank you. The Roslyn Landmark Society wishes everyone a peaceful holiday season and a bright year ahead.
