Last Wednesday, Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton conducted a site visit to view the progress of the restoration of the Roslyn Grist Mill. She toured the site with Jennifer Lister, executive director of the Roslyn Landmark Society, and Howard Kroplick, co-president of the Roslyn Landmark Society. Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton, a strong supporter of the restoration, said "I am looking forward to the day when the Roslyn Grist Mill is once again open for visitors and bringing Long Island rich colonial history alive."
In-Situ restoration of the historic 1700s timber beams is scheduled to begin in late July.
