Join the Roslyn Landmark Society's Spring Walking Tour for a rare and exclusive glimpse into Roslyn's rich history and culture.
This unique tour will take you behind the scenes of some of Roslyn's most remarkable buildings and gardens, many of which are not normally open to the public. You'll learn about the people who lived and worked in these places, and the events that shaped Roslyn into the vibrant community it is today.
Our tour will begin at Cedarmere, the former home of poet and editor William Cullen Bryant. President of the Friends of Cedarmere, Thomas Powell, will be providing a private viewing of the new Cedarmere water wheel in action!
We'll then visit the architectural achievements of the Rallye Motors building before strolling through the picturesque village, admiring the historic homes and gardens along the way.
We'll stop at two significant historic sites: the William Cullen Bryant Viaduct and the AT&T Tower & Skillman St. Historic District. The viaduct is a stunning feat of engineering, while the historic district is home to a collection of beautifully preserved early 20th-century buildings.
Our tour will conclude at Harbourview Shoppes, where you can browse the unique shops and restaurants, or simply relax and enjoy the waterfront views.
