Last week, I conducted a survey of the still standing buildings and remnants of Clarence Mackay's Harbor Hill Estate and his son John Mackay's Happy House Estate in East Hill and Roslyn. Watch for future news concerning a recent discovery of additional pieces from the Harbor Hill Estate.

Great photos of many unknown to me remaining parts of the Mackay estate. I visited the Dairyman's cottage when it was for sale about 5 or so years ago. The recent photo posted here looks like it is in the process of being renovated. In this state it is unrecognizable, not the house I saw then .
Bob, it could have been much worse. Since the Village of East Hill does not have any landmarking laws, the property owner had the option to knock down the entire building.
