Roslyn Grist Mill construction resumed on June 18, 2024 with the last stage of the timber frame restoration. Timber framers and construction crews were on-site to perform complicated timber joinery and heavy lifting work with machinery at the husk frame area in the lower part of the building.
Large timber beams needed to be installed and replaced to allow for the new floor. The crew will be back at the site in a few weeks to complete this major repair portion of the project. Phase 2 work at the Roslyn Grist Mill will continue through the summer and fall with the installation of a new roof, siding, windows, doors, and flooring. The building is anticipated to be opened to the public with limited access by 2025.
