The Roslyn Landmark Society would like to extend its gratitude to all who attended "The Pulaski of Roslyn: The History of the William Cullen Bryant Viaduct and the Roslyn Bypass" held at the Bryant Library on Thursday, August 7.
During the event, co-Vice President of the Roslyn Landmark Society and Village of Flower Hill Historian, Mitchell Schwartz, discussed his new book about the history and engineering of the Roslyn Bypass- one of the most significant components of Long Island's surface transportation network. We hope all those in attendance enjoyed themselves and learned as much about how the Roslyn Bypass was instrumental in relieving severe traffic congestion and helped foster the transformation of Roslyn into the thriving, world-renowned suburb of New York City that it now is as we did!
Special thanks to Mitchell Schwartz for his insightful presentation and also to the Bryant Library for partnering with the Roslyn Landmark Society on this event.
If you were unable to make it to the lecture, stay tuned for a recording of the event that will be available soon.
