Seven students from the Pratt Institute conducted a site visit to the Roslyn Grist Mill construction site last Monday. The students were joined with their teacher Kevin Wolfe and Alexandra Wolfe, executive director of Preservation Long Island. The students are enrolled in Pratt's Adaptations and Alterations of Historic Landmarks class, where they study the complex issues and challenges of changing historic structures with a historic district.
The students discussed the current restoration project and plans with Roslyn Landmark Society's executive director Jennifer Lister, Co-President Howard Kroplick and contractor Dylan Governale of Excav Services.
