Although the department was established on November 1, 1852, this Colonial Revival style firehouse was built in 1937. In 1986, the firehouse was relocated to Warner Avenue. The building was subsequently sold and renovated as a Temple. It is the current home of Soleil Furniture.

I was a member of this company tor over 10 years in the seventies. I was aghast when I learned the building is now a furniture store. What a slap in the face to the memory of Peter Lynch and all that went before that raised the money to build that beautiful building.
