Roslyn Village Hall

The current Roslyn Village Hall opened in 1995 when the Village of Roslyn needed to relocate its offices from the Valentine House, which the village had been leasing from the Bryant Library, into a space which could be its own after the library announced that it would not renew the lease past 1999, when it was set to expire. The village decided to purchase this building on Old Northern Boulevard, which was constructed as a private home roughly four years prior.

The building was purchased in 1994 during the administration of Mayor Joel Pasnik for $290,000 through a $300,000 bond. The remaining $10,000 would go to renovating the structure for its new use as a village office building.

As the building is a larger facility than the Valentine House, all of the Village of Roslyn’s services and departments were able to be unified on the under one roof after years of relying on leased trailers and a storage box located a quarter of a mile away from the Valentine House.
