The Roslyn Landmark Society is proud to announce the launch of "It's Time to Give," a matching gift campaign to fund Phase Two of the restoration of the Mackay Estate Gate Lodge.
Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, every new gift to the Gate Lodge Restoration Fund will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $28,000, making the total potential impact of this campaign $56,000.
Phase Two will accomplish three things: the full replacement of the building's original historic slate roof, the recreation of its ornamental copper gutters and finials, and the faithful reproduction of the original clock that once stood above the central gates — complete with its hand-hammered repoussé copper casing — returned to its place above the intersection of Harbor Hill Road and Roslyn Road for the first time in decades.
Gifts of $200 and above will be permanently recognized with an engraved brick in the Gate Lodge walkway as part of the Mackay Estate Gate Lodge Founder's Club. Full giving options are available at roslynlandmarks.org/itstimetogive.
