Okay Roslyn old-timers, it's time to rev up the disco ball and recall the Roslyn of the 1980s.
Do you recall the disco supper club located at 1750 Northern Boulevard that was promoted as "where mature singles meet?"
The Apple Orchard opened in 1979 and closed around 1985 when the property was purchased by Rallye Motors than headquartered in Glen Cove. In a June 1, 1979 review, Newsday noted: The Apple Orchard conveys a very Manhattanish feeling, and it could well evolve into Long Island's Regine's, or perhaps even Studio 54."
Please share your memories of the Apple Orchard in the below Comments section. If you have any photos of the supper club, please forward them to [email protected].
