A team of shopping cart pickpockets robbed a woman of her wallet yesterday at the Whole Foods Market in Manhasset. The wallet was in a pocketbook left unattended for seconds while shopping. Within 30 minutes, the pickpockets tried to charge $2,600 at the Apple store across the street. Luckily, the charges were declined. Nassau County detectives believe to have obtained images of the pickpockets on the stores' security cameras.

A similar incident occurred recently to my sister at the Trader Joe’s in Westbury : she was getting into her car to leave and someone told her she dropped some money and while she reached down to pick it up they reached into her car and grabbed her wallet taking off on a shopping spree which she discovered the following day! “Oh the times they are A changin!” Oh how I’d love to capture these people and string them up; but I guess they must be really in need and desperate to take such action! It’s sad , offensive, infuriating!
