This merchant's house retains much of its original appearance. It belonged to George Browne who owned a bakery across the street.
The residence is a 2 1/2-story gable roofed dwelling. It has a modern 3-bay, hip-roofed, screened porch carried on a simple Tuscan side enclosed chimney.
A 3-story addition was built in 2016.
