Fascinating mystery and very interesting map of Harbor Hill. Has anyone been to Pine Lawn Cemetery to see if the burials were moved there? Do members of the Salem A E. Church recognize it--on their website or visit? How many were buried in the original cemetery?
Fascinating accounts--The name Cole may be associated with Thomas Cole, the great Hudson River School Painter, a friend of William Cullen Bryant, a Roslyn resident after 1843. I believe Cole died in about 1848.
I grew up on Hen Hawk Lane and recall riding my bicycle around their big front entry -
It felt fun and sneaky - LOL - Can't believe how many years ago that was - Glad it's being preserved -

I wish they would all put in solar roof panels! Why is this not required when building or renovating these large buildings???
