The Roslyn Landmark Society expresses appreciation to all who participated in our recent event, "History of Long Island Cooking," held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Bryant Library's Helen Glannon Room.
Our gratitude goes out to Diane Schwindt, the resident historic cook at the Ketcham Inn in Center Moriches, for her captivating presentation and insightful exploration of this fascinating subject. Her expertise and sharp sense of humor were instrumental in making the event a truly enriching experience for all attendees.
Thank you to Roslyn Landmark Society Co-President, Howard Kroplick, and trustees Carol Clarke, Craig Westergard, John Flynn, Ariel Morabito, and Daphne Hanjis for their support and participation.
We also extend thanks to the dedicated staff of the Bryant Library for their contributions in planning and executing this successful event.
Whether you joined us in person or virtually through Zoom, your presence and engagement are deeply appreciated. We hope you gained valuable insights into the history of food on Long Island and the practices of colonial kitchens.
We look forward to welcoming you to future events as we continue to explore the rich history of our local community.
