The Roslyn Landmark Society has an announcement that calls for both gratitude and celebration.
After more than seven years of dedicated service as President and Co-President of our Board of Trustees, Howard Kroplick is stepping down from his leadership role. Howard first assumed the presidency in September 2018, bringing to the position the same boundless energy and deep passion for Long Island history that have defined his decades of community service. Under his leadership, the Society navigated a period of remarkable growth and meaningful achievement, including the ongoing restoration of the Roslyn Grist Mill, the preservation of the Mackay Estate Gate Lodge, and the continued stewardship of Roslyn's architectural and cultural legacy. We are profoundly grateful for everything Howard has given to this organization and to the community he loves so well. His contributions will be felt for generations. We are glad that Howard will continue as a member of the Board of Trustees, and we look forward to his continued involvement in the work ahead.
We are pleased to announce the Society's new officer slate, reflecting the energy and commitment that will carry our mission forward:
Co-Presidents: Jordan Fensterman and John Santos Co-Vice Presidents: Mitchell Schwartz, Aviv Fine, and Rosanna Wolff Secretary: Noam Shemel
John Santos, a familiar and trusted presence on the Board, continues as Co-President alongside Jordan Fensterman, who steps into the role having previously served as Co-Vice President. Mitchell Schwartz likewise continues in his role as Co-Vice President, joined by Aviv Fine and Rosanna Wolff.
