TRACKING HENRI - 7 a.m. UPDATE: Henri has been downgraded from a hurricane to a tropical storm. About 50 miles southeast of Montauk Point. The storm is expected to pass east of Montauk near Block Island by 10 a.m.
WHAT'S NEXT -- IMPACT- COASTAL FLOODING , ROUGH SEAS AND DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS, HEAVY RAIN, STREET FLOODING AND POWER OUTAGES. Worst of the weather between now and 4 p.m. Conditions started to get worse with rain and wind after 5 a.m.

News 12 meteorologists say the worst of the weather will be felt between now and 4 p.m.

Hurricane warnings are in effect for Suffolk County. A tropical storm warning is in effect for Nassau County.





Nassau County winds will be anywhere from 35 to 50 mph. Suffolk County winds will be from 50 to 70 mph. Rain totals will be from 3 to 6 inches with some higher amounts in local areas. High tides on the South Shore will be from now to noon. They will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the North Shore. Parts of Suffolk County are already seeing some flooding while Nassau County is currently seeing moderate rain.
Over 2,000 power outages have already been reported across Long Island by PSEGLI as of 9 a.m. More are expected. Conditions start to improve around 4 p.m., but rain will continue into Monday.
