After the Hempstead Harbor Creek was dredged in 1929, Anton (Tony) Walbridge built this boathouse on Hempstead Harbor Creek for his "Heigh-Ho" yacht. Walbridge was the son of Henry Walbridge, a broker and mayor of Roslyn from 1935 to1937 and the owner of the Waldene Estate which he inherited from his father.
