Four students from Roslyn High School have made history as the first from the district to compete and advance in the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's Annual Young Musicians Competition, earning a spot on the stage at Alice Tully Hall on May 7th. The Roslyn Quartet, violinists Elizabeth Lee and Jihoon Shin, violist Aaron Ye, and cellist Nicholas Chao, will perform Beethoven's String Quartet in C minor after advancing through a rigorous multi-round competition that drew top student ensembles from across the tri-state area. Before their performance, the students will receive coaching from Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society members, a remarkable opportunity for young musicians who, in their very first year of competition, have already placed themselves among the region's highest-level student chamber ensembles. The concert is open to the public at 11 a.m., and the whole village should feel proud. Read all about it in the LI Press.
