A new banner celebrating the restoration of the Mackay Estate Gate Lodge was recently placed on its front wrought-iron gates. The banner acknowledges efforts made by the Village of East Hills and the Roslyn Landmark Society to preserve this unique structure. The banner also recognizes the generous grant support recently received from the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation to restore the Gate Lodge's historic windows and doors.

It's great to see the Roslyn Landmark Society's dedication to preserving historical treasures like the Mackay Estate Gate Lodge. The recent placement of a celebratory banner on the wrought-iron gates is a lovely gesture that highlights the collaborative efforts of the Village of East Hills and the Society itself. Recognizing the support from the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation is also crucial, as these kinds of grants play a significant role in maintaining our heritage. Restoring historic windows and doors is not just about aesthetics; its about preserving a piece of history for future generations. I hope this effort continues to receive the support and recognition it deserves. To anyone considering contributing, this is a meaningful way to engage with and support your community's history.
