Elizabeth, as seen above as of now, there are currently no open appointments available on Long Island and NYC. The only openings require a trip upstate.
It is expected that Long Island openings will be available when a new shipment of vaccines arrive. I will keep an eye out when this occurs.
Howard--
Thank you so much for doing this. I have tried repeatedly but i will keep trying. This is a wonderful thing you are doing and it is much appreciated.

Marie, sorry for your difficulties in obtaining an appointment. You are not alone!
St. Francis Hospital has not been designated as a location for the vaccinations. The closest location is the Yes We Can Community Center in Westbury (see the above Nassau County link).
Unfortunately, there are currently no appointments available on Long Island or NYC. This changes depending on the vaccine shipments. I heard, second-hand, that if you show up at a vaccination site at the end of the day and are eligible, you may be able to obtain an appointment. Good luck!
My husband and I trying to a vaccine in roslyn St Francis Hospital. He is 73, and I 70, he is high risk two months in hospital last year covid, cardiologist was clear that we both must get vaccine, so where we need help must be at St Francis Hospital he has bad heart disease. Help!

I graduated RHS in 1966, my family business was here, and am presently a resident. I love the new website! So much fantastic information. Your work in preserving our historical and beautiful town is so appreciated. The information on other matters that affect the residents of Roslyn such as the covid pandemic is also great. It's wonderful to see the work the Landmark Society is doing!
Funny you say that Isabel because most people did call me by that diminutive form of my name. When my mother was angry, she'd call me Kenneth.
My memory used to be excellent, but now, not so much. Did you have an older sister or step sister? Did you know Merri Hollander (Brian's older sister)?
Exactly as I thought. I dated Susan briefly and Merri as well. Merri became a dear and close friend and she is now in a care home, suffering from Dementia.
The last time I saw Susan was in Chicago years ago, when I was on my way back to Utah from the Duck Pond Reunion and Susan was there for an Expo. She can tell you about it if she cares to.
Merri introduced me to Susan more than 2 decades ago.

I grew up at 65 Ash Drive which appears from the street and house overlays to be completely "within" the mansion's main house (on the north side of the intersection of Ash and Lufberry). My Dad built many of the homes in that immediate area in 1958 and we didn't know this until now! We always had been told that our house was at the highest point in Nassau County. We also knew that one of the horse statues was behind the house on Poplar Dr. and the other was at my high school. The house was sold after 62 years in 2020 and the new owner sent me the link to the Mackey information.

Hi Isabel,
Ken Merena, RHS 1966 (sort of)
Hi Ken, Nice to hear from you! Isabel
I hope you are well, Isabel and especially that you are safe from the covid-19 pandemic.
Aloha,
Ken
Aloha to you too Ken (I remember you as Kenny)!

This house really should be corrected as the Losee/Dugan Jr House. I refer to it as this house was built on Losee land by Samuel Dugan Jr.
