The Roslyn Landmark Society mourns the loss of longtime trustee John Flynn, whose commitment to preserving Roslyn's history spanned more than three decades, back to the days of founders Roger and Peggy Gerry.
John's passion for the Society showed itself in the breadth of what he gave his time to. He served as Board Treasurer twice, chaired the Roslyn Grist Mill Committee, and sat on the Covenant Committee, the Properties Committee, and the Mackay Estate Gate Lodge Committee. Of everything he worked on, the preservation of Roslyn's homes and buildings and the completion of the Grist Mill were closest to his heart, and his years of steady involvement helped carry both forward.
John's absence will be felt across the organization he gave so much to. John's wife Leslie has shared that the family will likely hold a Celebration of Life in the spring rather than services in the near term. The Roslyn Landmark Society extends its deepest condolences to his wife Leslie, and his entire family.
